Teenager!

Well, today I turned 13!

This is probably the biggest birthday I’ll have for a while, and I’m saving up for quite a few birthday presents!

I started off by going to opening cards (no presents yet, I’m saving up, remember? :P ). I got cards from my grandparents, my dad, my cousins/uncle/aunt, my other grandma, my brother, and my mum. :D

Next, I went to my grandparent’s house. My grandfather had to leave shortly after I arrived, but not before I had a small slice of the medium-sized cake I had there! :D

I played some Monopoly with my mum/brother/grandma, and then we went out for lunch. I had pizza! :D

Then we went to Woolworths, and bought Indiana Jones IV on Blu-Ray. I’m watching it now, actually. :)

After that, I came home again and played on the PS3 (not the present, I’m afraid :P ), and went to the cinema (just with my mum and brother this time). We saw “Ghost Town”.

After that I came home again, and now I’m writing this post!

So, happy 13th birthday to me! :D

Well, last night I arrived home from Malta. I went to lots of different temples, towns, cities, forts, museums etc.

I’ll have a full post with images and stuff soon!

Glasses

I can see again!

Well, today I went to the opticians to pick up my new glasses. They’re much better than my old ones. :D

I’ve just come back from the cinema, watching “Eagle Eye”. It’s actually a good film. I think it’s a good, fast paced action thriller.

Anyway, sorry about not posting very often. Last week, I had at least 6 tests.

Just in case you were wondering, I’ve been doing very well. :)

I recently started basketball in PE, which is my favourite part of PE in the year, so I’m going to enjoy that, and (hopefully) get much fitter. :D

I  think I’ve got my birthday/Christmas present completely sorted out. It’s going to be:

An iMac with the followin’ spec’s:

  • 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 500GB hard drive
  • NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS w/512MB GDDR3 video card

And Adobe CS4 Design Premium, which has the following programs:

  • InDesign CS4
  • Photoshop CS4 Extended
  • Illustrator CS4
  • Flash CS4 Professional
  • Dreamweaver CS4
  • Fireworks CS4
  • Acrobat 9 Pro

I’m looking forward to it! :D

Open Evening

No images, I’m afraid.

So, today was open evening at my school. Basically, it’s the time of year when the itty little year sixes come over and look around.

I think it went well. There were a select few chosen to tour people around, however, I wasn’t one of them.

But that didn’t stop me :P

I talked to the deputy headmaster, who then told me to talk to my head of year, who then told me to talk to another teacher, and, in the end, he said I could have the job. :D

Everyone was grouped with a prefect. That was fine, I would have half died if I’d had to do it myself :P

Well, we showed the year sixes around. Most tours were just two minutes per room, and then straight out again. Our tour, however, stayed in each room for closer to 10 minutes, meaning that people could actually look around :P

Me and the prefect answered some questions, and, generally, helped people out. We didn’t need to tell them about subjects, there were some other people (the not-so-special ones) helping out in individual subjects.

It was a fun evening. :)

Stat’s

Well, I’d just like to say thanks very much for the most successful month so far!

That’s right, (so far), October seems to be heading for our most successful month!

We’ve had 292 pageviews so far this month, that’s almost 2 thirds of last months 460, in just 6 days!

So, well, thanks again!

Today I managed to finish off my ultimate maze (ok, the maze itself is rubbish :P ), which (so far), is immune to cheaters!

:D

Anyway, I think it’s great.

So, I just wanted to use this time to make a quick reminder that you can create your own personal blog hosted by myself, and the link is on the sidebar! :)

Thanks again for the hits, and keep ‘em coming! :P

London!

Ok, I admit, this is two days late. :P

Anyway, on Sunday, I went to London!

As we were going around London a bit, we thought it’d be easier to use a car to get around (there’s no congestion charge on a Sunday :P )

We arrived in London, and met some friends that we occasionally meet up with at the Londom Museum (not the British museum, the London museum).

There was a big Roman exhibit going on, which was interesting. My little brother now knows how to make a Roman sandle :P

After that, we went on an hour walk around London. We didn’t actually do much walking. Most of it was talking, which was good, ‘cos I learnt a bit about some old bits of London. The walk, as well as most of the museum, had a Roman theme.

Next, we all went into our car, and drove to Greenwich. We got out a football (soccer ball for you Americans), a basketball, and a cricket set.

We ended up only playing cricket, but that’s fine. We had a laugh. :D

And, finally, we all went into a Chinese and had a very lovely dinner, after we’d bought some books from a very cheap bookstore.

Anyway, English weather has finally arrived. Today it was absolutely pouring down on my walk home, in fact, my clothes were pretty much soaked from my knees down. Luckily for me, though, I had an umbrella protecting me for the upper part of my body.

Anyway, feel free to comment, say if anything happened on your weekend, and, um, bye!

;)

New Stuff

Hey!

Music lessons have just started. :D

I’d also like to apologise for not being very active anywhere apart from WWoL. I would be active at CPP, but the theme hurts my eyes :P

Anyway, school’s going fine, no detentions (yet :P )

See y’all soon! :D

School!

Well, school started on Tuesday. I’ve had a lot to do, which is why I didn’t post earlier.

I’ve got two new subjects in year 8. They are German, and Food Tech (cooking :P ).

I’ve got quite a few new teachers, most of which I’m glad I have.
I have new teachers for:

  • PSHE
  • Science
  • History
  • English
  • German
  • French
  • Food Tech
  • ICT

And I have the same teachers for:

  • Maths
  • PE
  • Art
  • Music
  • RE
  • Geography

I like the new teachers (or the ones I’ve had so far), and I’m glad that I keep some of the teachers that I do. I have the same class tutor, which I suppose is a good thing.

There’s a new block in our school. It’s not finished yet, but it’s brilliant so far. :D

Also, there’s now WWoL forums!
